FAQ
Our full-board players stay in student housing facilities located in the heart of Marbella. The premises are made for students and provide a 24/7 reception area. Our players always have someone present. The student housing facilities are part of a program called InturJoven run in association with the Junta de Andalucia, Southern autonomous state government in Spain. The housing facilities include a pool area, cafeteria, lounge area and is walking distance to the beaches and the old town of Marbella. Our partner EduWW (Education Worldiwde) is an International Accredited Online K12 school – including elementary school, middle school and high school curriculum.
Upon graduation from EduWW Online High School, students receive a US high school diploma recognized and accepted internationally. They can apply to a range of colleges and universities globally with it. EduWW send a digital copy of a high school diploma via email and a hard copy to a student’s home address.
For our football players, EduWW offer a fully comprehensive K12 online education program for young athletes. As a special department of Education World Wide, SWS has the same credentials and uses the same accredited curriculum. The main difference is the methodological approach and flexibility. In Sport World School, we aim to be more flexible with curriculum, due dates, online classes, and other aspects of online learning. That enables students to balance between schooling, training sessions, and competitions.

Our players are not obliged to enrol with EduWW. They can choose any education centre they wish; however, they must keep in mind the demanding football program. It is recommended to ensure that the school you choose has the flexibility to work around the Proformance Football Schedule.
For players 18+ you are not required to enrol in an academic program to participate in our football programs.
Our Special Football Programs – short monthly programs, tournaments, holiday camps, private and group session do not include any academic program. These are solely intensive football development focused.
For all our full season and ½ half season players, we endeavour to place you in a Spanish football club to enable you to compete in the Spanish Football Leagues. However, it is subject to a successful trial. You must be approved by the club as well as have the relevant documentation required by the Spanish Football Federation to register you as a player in the Spanish league. We will help you in the process.
Should you not be able to compete officially, you will be able to assist training sessions with a team and play friendlies.
YRDS focuses on professional training drills adapted to the player’s age and ability. We have a very hands-on and personalized approach in the way we train and develop our players. We believe in sharing our knowledge, know-how and personal experience gained throughout our own journey as footballers, to prepare our players for their future.
YRDS combines the academy´s technical and tactical development programme with the Spanish grassroots development system. We believe it is important to combine the Proformance Football academy curriculum with that of Spanish clubs to enable our players to train and compete in the Spanish leagues.
Proformance Football was founded by an ex-pro player Yuri Ruh dos Santos.
Based on his personal journey from an early age to becoming a footballer, Yuri decided to compile a football development program that would embody the positives of his experience and perfect aspects of the system which are lacking yet crucial to the overall development of a player from an early age up until he/she becomes a pro player.
- Yuri created the YRDS method which is a compilation of professional technical and tactical drills adapted to the age and level of the player. The method focuses on a hands-on approach to teaching, training and developing footballers.
- Proformance Football coaches all go through a rigorous training program to effectively train players using the YRDS methodology.
- Most of our coaches are players or ex-players who can share their personal experience, passion, knowledge and know-how with our academy players.
- We have a holistic approach to developing players and also focus on the cognitive side of football to boost the player’s overall performance.
- We personalise our player experience because everyone is different. We all learn, develop and perform, each in our own unique way and we all have different needs
- We offer personal support, motivate and nurture our players to help them grow in a safe and secure environment
- We abide by a strong code of ethics including, respect, loyalty, humbleness, a strong work ethic, discipline, team spirit, all in a healthy, competitive environment
We are each other’s family, each other’s teammate, each other’s friend, each other’s support
Proformance Football develops players. We are not football agents; however, we do showcase our players by organising friendlies and participating in tournaments where our players get to compete against the very the best youth players by competing against academy players of some of the top football clubs in the world.
We collaborate with football clubs to provide our academy players with the opportunity to compete in the Spanish league and as well we work together to help provide exceptionally talented players with opportunities to grow a step closer to achieving their dream.
You do not have to be a Proformance Football player to join us at a tournament.
- First you need to fill-in the registration form (link to the long registration form).
- Next we will contact you and invite you to a trial. If you cannot make the trial, we will look at your videos and player CV.
